"Website Update: What's been happening, see our website changes?"

Aioli everyone, we hope you have all been well, this week we wanted to share with you all a quick website update, if you have been following this site for a while now, you may have noticed a few changes we have made, but if you are new, let us share and walk you through all the changes we have made recently.

Website Changes?

The main change you will probably notice straight off the bat is that we got rid of the journal page, after a bit of a trial and error having it on the site, we found it was a lot to keep up with so unfortunately in the end we decided to can it and delete it off the site,

Another thing you might have noticed is that, for a couple of weeks now, we have been missing out on blog entries and this is mainly because we have been battling a virus. We have been trying our best to come up with and publish content on the fly and we are trying to keep to our deadlines in terms of our publishing schedule, but a lot of the time we are left not happy with the results because we are rushing it and not giving ourselves time to edit, it is defiantly calling out for us to create an effective content-posting calendar/schedule.

We also feel like we have been lacking on the articles page, we have a few emails we need to follow up on but we also, need to pick up our game when it comes to reaching out to more brands and businesses, we would like to build up this page on the site so much more, and we hope like us, you enjoy reading and learning about the stories of some of your favourite brands and businesses.

The Solutions

As we discussed in the changes section, one big solution that we need is an effective content-posting calendar/schedule. We need to create a schedule that allows us to draft and edit content with enough time before being happy enough with it to post it on the site and our social media accounts. Too often now we have been caught out rushing, trying to keep to our publishing deadlines with content that we are not happy with but publishing anyway just so that we have content on the site.

We are also not happy with our performance with the articles page. We feel like we have been slacking in reaching out to brands and businesses as well as following up on emails, both of which we think we can work on using a content-posting calendar.

Going forward

Once we can establish an effective content-posting schedule we shall be sure to share it with you, and if we make any more changes, you will hear about it here first.
