Navigating changes, our first post back from break

Aioli, everyone, we hope you have all been well. It has been a good while since we have posted, but we want to share with you all how we have been navigating changes so we can get ourselves back onto the blogging grind, and don't worry, we don't intend to change the blog schedule, it will stay as it is, a fresh blog post every Friday. We aim to get back on the schedule and create fresh content for you all.

If you are new to our page, hi, my name is Wilz, I am an external student studying a bachelor's in business and law. I completed a degree in communications last year, and this page is our way of putting ourselves out there. If you have a moment, please check out the about us page to learn more.

But if you have been following the site for some time now, you probably will have noticed all the changes in our writing styles and the start of some of our ideas, but as we are approaching the trimester break for our studies, we want to sit down and finalise a lot of these ideas so you can have some consistency on what to expect with this site.

Navigating Changes, Studies Come First

A big change we have experienced since the start of the year is negotiating content for this page, as well as going back into studies. We have started with a full-time load of study to see if we can handle it, and while we haven't found that balance yet between studies and blogging, we do know we want to, like our last degree, use this blog to document our adventures throughout.

But at the end of the day, if we have a choice between our studies and the blog, we will always put our studies first. While we enjoy blogging and sharing with you all, it is more of a reflective piece compared to our studies, which will help us in the long run secure better opportunities and strengthen us overall.

Domains and WIX Premium

Another big factor in keeping this page running is financing the domain and a WIX Premium plan to keep the page live and on the web, so everyone can check it out. For as long as we can remember, with this page, we have exclusively hosted the domain through GoDaddy.com, and with a WIX Premium plan, we have indulged in lots of content ideas to bring it all to life.

GoDaddy.com makes it so simple to find and purchase a domain. If you check out their website, they explain everything so clearly, so you know right upfront what you are purchasing, and they even give assistance in connecting your new domain to your website hosting website/organization.

And we can't talk highly enough of WIX.com, they have been super supportive of our page, and they make it so easy to create and publish a site online. With WIX, you have full control over the type of site and content you can create; they have so many types of templates to choose from, and they also have AI tools that can help you create and be inspired.

The challenges we navigated here were funding the renewal of the domain and the WIX Premium plan, as well as finding the time to sit down to create fresh and captivating content. We were also worried about being inconsistent with our writing style and connecting with you all, but at the heart of it, we will, at the core, try our best just to be us and share our experiences from the heart, and we hope you will create some connection with that.

This has always been one of our favourite pages on our site since it has connected with some amazing people and businesses, but it has been a good while since we have posted an article, let alone sit down and reach out to some businesses that would like to share their story with us and our audience.

We do hope, though you have all been enjoying the stories on that page of the site, they always serve to inspire and motivate us, and we hope they have been captivating reads for you all. At the heart of it, we just love to share a good story and drum up notice of their business and hard work.

But our plans for this page going into the future is that we do want to keep it going, but it is just finding the time and organising everything so we can keep it running, but we will try our best, because we love the connection it creates and the stories it shares is absolute gold.

Going Forward

Going forward from here, we plan to stick to the existing schedule, but if we miss a post or 2 here and there, it is most probably due to study commitments, but you have our promise we will try our best.
